Is Aaron Donald really retiring from the NFL? If the recent comment of Los Angeles Rams general manager Les Snead is any indication, that doesn't seem to be the case.

Before the Rams' Super Bowl 56 win, there have been talks that Donald would consider retirement should they come out victorious in the big game. Former New England Patriots star Rodney Harrison dropped the revelation, saying that there's a “strong possibility” it would happen.

Snead, however, defused those talks with his statement as he noted that Donald's retirement is not a concern. In fact, he revealed that they are talking about a new contract with the defensive guru, per Pro Football Talk.

While Snead refused to deny the retirement talks, noting that anything is possible, it is clear the Rams have every intention of keeping Donald as long as they can. surely, they won't be in contract negotiation talks if they feel the star defensive tackle is calling it a career.

For what it's worth, the Los Angeles GM also shared before that he doesn't see Donald retiring just yet. After all, the three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year is just 30 years old and still has a lot left in the tank.

“He’ll sleep on it and see, but I’m not buying it,” Snead said. “He’s a young kid. He’ll get bored and need something to do.”

Aaron Donald's Rams teammate, Von Miller, also shared the same sentiment after their Super Bowl win. While he has no knowledge of Donald's decision-making process, he doesn't think that the superstar will be able to let go of the championship feeling.

“I don’t know, man. He’s done everything you can possibly do,” Miller shared. “But this feeling here, there’s nothing like it. It’s addictive. Once you feel this — coming to the Super Bowl is one thing. But winning it is different. And we’ll just have to see.

“He’s done so much. But I’ll tell you, this feeling is great. It just makes you want it more and more and more. But he’s definitely capped off a great career, if he chooses to do that. But this is an addictive feeling and I can’t see him walking away from this.”

As Snead mentioned, nothing is official yet and a lot can happen this offseason. However, all signs seem to point to Donald returning and helping the Rams defend their Super Bowl title.
