The Los Angeles Rams are looking to defend their home turf and walk away with the Lombardi Trophy against the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl 56. But according to Rodney Harrison, if things go well for the Rams on Sunday evening, it could be one star player's final game in the NFL. In a shocking statement during NBC's pregame coverage, analyst and former Patriots star Rodney Harrison made a shocking revelation regarding the future of Aaron Donald. Per Harrison, if the Rams win the Super Bowl, star defensive lineman Aaron Donald could up and retire from football.

It's unclear where Harrison's claims come from, but whether or not he's getting this information from reputable sources, it's certainly an interesting tidbit dropped by the former Patriots star during the pregame show. Donald is only 30 years old and is still arguably the best defensive player in football. To see the Rams star retire after the Super Boulw would be nothing less than stunning for a player right in the midst of his prime.

This season, Donald featured in all 17 games for the Rams, recording 12.5 sacks, 84 tackles, 19 tackles for loss, 25 QB hits, and four forced fumbles. He made his eighth consecutive Pro Bowl and was a First-Team All-Pro selectee for the seventh time in his eight-year career.

Throughout his career, the 30-year-old star defensive lineman has 98.0 sacks in 127 games, 441 tackles, 226 QB hits, 150 tackles for loss, and 23 forced fumbles. Donald has won four Defensive Player of the Year awards and has never missed the Pro Bowl throughout his eight years with the Rams.
