The Los Angeles Rams managed to land superstar linebacker Bobby Wagner in free agency this offseason, a surprise addition for the reigning Super Bowl champs. Wagner will stay in the NFC West on his new deal with the Rams, and when asked about his decision to remain in the division, the veteran didn't hide the fact that facing off with his old team twice a year played an impact on his decision. Wagner revealed that while it wasn't the main factor in his decision to join the Rams, playing the Seahawks twice a year was the “cherry on top,” via Andrew Siciliano.

While Wagner wouldn't go as far as to say that exacting revenge upon the Seahawks was the sole reason he joined the Rams, he admitted it definitely played a factor. “I don't have that much hate in my heart,” Wagner said. “Playing the Seahawks twice a year was a cherry on top.”

Wagner went on to inform fans in Seattle that “It won't be a quiet game” from the veteran linebacker.

The Seahawks released Wagner earlier in the offseason, shortly after trading Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos. Wagner felt slighted as the team reportedly did not inform him the move was coming. Well, much to the dismay of Seahawks fans, Wagner is now set to line up against them multiple times a year, and it's a matchup he'll certainly have circled on his calendar.

Wagner spent the first 10 years of his career with the Seahawks, making 8 Pro Bowls, 6 All-Pro First Teams, and winning a Super Bowl throughout his tenure with the team.
