The Los Angeles Rams have been out of sorts in recent weeks but they may be getting one of their playmakers back in Week 12. After missing the past two games with a concussion, Sean McVay seems to be optimistic that Brandin Cooks will return versus the Baltimore Ravens.

“We do [expect him back]. He’s been in great spirits, he’s been in good shape. The anticipation is that he will be able to play this week,” McVay said via quotes distributed by the team.

Back in Week 8 against the Cincinnati Bengals, Cooks suffered a concussion after taking a hit to the head. It was the second time this season that the speedy wideout has left a game due to a concussion.

Therefore, the Rams have been cautious with Cooks as he continues to recover from a head injury—which has become a common occurrence for the wide receiver in his career. This past week, Cooks was able to return as a limited participant in practice.

Despite his ability to return to practice, Cooks missed his second consecutive game on Sunday versus the Chicago Bears. Luckily for Los Angeles, they were able to secure the win and keep their playoff hopes alive.

This season, Cooks has hauled in 27 receptions for 402 yards and a touchdown. While his numbers may be down, Cooks' presence alone opens everything up in the Rams' offense.

The Rams are going to need Cooks when they face the Ravens on Monday Night Football in Week 12. The Ravens are 8-2 and are arguably the most complete team in the NFL.
