Los Angeles Rams running back C.J. Anderson has been one of the biggest surprises the last month and no one is more surprised about it than Anderson. Anderson was cut by the Oakland Raiders after just a week and when no one claimed him he thought his next opportunity to play football was going to be next season.

Anderson told the PFTPM podcast that if someone had told him after being cut by the Raiders what kind of success he would be having with the Rams, he wouldn't even believe it.

“I wouldn’t have believed you a month ago,” Anderson said. “When I got released by Oakland I thought the season was over for me and hopefully my resume would get me an opportunity in free agency in March.”

Anderson was on four different teams this season and looks like he has finally found a good landing spot with the Rams. He has done a good job filling in the last few weeks of the regular season when Todd Gurley was out rushing for 167 yards and 132 yards respectively.

Gurley returned against the Dallas Cowboys last week but that didn't mean Anderson's time on the field went down. Anderson rushed 23 times for 123 yards and two touchdowns.

Gurley will probably see more carries on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints, but Anderson is still going to see a ton of run, and they are both going to need to really well if they want to pull the upset in this game and move onto the Super Bowl.
