The Los Angeles Rams have had a tremendous start to the new season, and there's no denying that a ton of credit has to be given to the outstanding defense they have put up thus far — and we have the statistical data to prove it.

As noted by this to this Twitter tidbit, the Rams have have had a knack for preventing their opponents from scoring, particularly after the halftime break:

Now that's an impressive stat, and surely, one that has been key to L.A.'s 5-2 start this season.

On Monday, the Rams secured another victory, as they defeated the Chicago Bears 24-10. They held their opponents to just three points in the first half, but also allowed seven points in the fourth period. While this may be a shade outside their average — as noted in the tweet above — it was still a solid defensive effort yet again for the Rams.

L.A. bounced back nicely from their Week 7 defeat at the hands of the San Francisco 49ers, as they continue to fight for positioning in the NFC West. The Rams will hope to carry on with their winning ways when they return to action on Sunday, as they take on the Miami Dolphins for Week 8.

The Dolphins themselves have been on quite a roll of late, scoring 67 points in their last two contests. This should be a tough test for L.A.'s defense, as they battle the high octane offense of the 4-3 Dolphins.
