The Los Angeles Rams have risen to be one of the best teams in the NFL this season. A large part of their success is thanks to Jalen Ramsey patrolling the defensive backfield for the team. With the star cornerback in the secondary, opposing wide receivers have a hard time getting open against LA for easy plays.

Jalen Ramsey's stellar cornerback play has rightfully earned him yet another All-Pro selection this season. Surprisingly, the Rams star isn't satisfied with just one All-Pro selection this year, as he wanted to be selected to TWO All-Pro spots in the same year. (via Mike Florio)

“I started thinking about how previous years they did like two corners and then they get like a slot for DB. But I guess they switched that up this year, so they didn’t do that this year. Because initially going into it I was hopeful that maybe I could get All-Pro at two separate categories, but they switched it up. So it is what it is, but I’m super grateful and thankful.”

Unfortunately for the Rams cornerback, the NFL did switch it up in 2020. Before 2020, there was a spot designated for designated backs. However, starting last year, the voting committee removed the DBs from the All-Pro ballot. Ramsey's dream of two All-Pro selections in one year will remain a dream.

Not that it was even remotely possible in the first place. For Jalen Ramsey to have earned All-Pro honors at cornerback and defensive back, he would've had to earn 50% of his votes at both positions. That's incredibly unlikely, to say the least.

With the Rams matching up against the Arizona Cardinals on the horizon, Ramsey will be looking to channel this energy into locking down Arizona's best receivers.
