Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley had a rather rough showing in the NFC Championship Game this past Sunday, carrying the ball just four times for 10 yards and seeing a pass bounce off of his hands and into the arms of New Orleans Saints linebacker Demario Davis in the first quarter.

Luckily for Gurley, the Rams won, and the Pro Bowl running back will now get a huge chance at redemption on Feb. 3 when Los Angeles takes on the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl.

Rams quarterback Jared Goff expects a much better showing from Gurley in the big game:

“I expect him to have a big game,” said Goff, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk. “He’s going to go out there and do everything he normally does. For whatever — last week wasn’t his and it happens. It’s not the end of the world. I think he knows that and approaches it like a pro.”

Gurley injured his knee against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 15 and proceeded to miss the final two games of the regular season. He was then limited in practice in the week leading up to Los Angeles' Divisional Round playoff matchup against the Dallas Cowboys, but Gurley still punctured the Cowboys' defense for 115 yards and a touchdown.

Last Sunday was a different story, but Goff does not think the poor performance will have an effect on Gurley going forward:

“He’s a great teammate and a great guy, a guy that doesn’t let that type of stuff affect him,” added Goff. “He’s going to come into work and be the same guy he always is and work hard.”
