In his first two seasons in the NFL, Los Angeles Rams quarterback Jared Goff has become a rising star at his position, which seen his popularity on the rise. He has quickly become one of the top young talents in the league that has a promising future ahead of him.
It has presented a unique opportunity for him to take advantage of that by working with Red Bull to help prank the Ventura College football team dressed as an unknown transfer looking to become the next starting quarterback.
Goff was able to cleanly play the role of an incoming player that caught the entire team off guard by playing into the character named Dreaj Foge by not being the most welcoming quarterback. He held a couple of conversations with the players making it known that he wanted to gun for the starting job despite only arriving for that first practice. It didn't exactly rub a couple of the teammates the right way.
Following a few off-the-mark throws, Goff let his true talent shine by hitting wide receivers done the field with accuracy that amazed several of the players on the team. It wasn't until the Ventura College head coach revealed who he was that there was any clue that he was the Rams' star quarterback. It was a unique experience that showed Goff's comedic side away from the game.
That said, this increased attention certainly shows that Goff is becoming a more recognizable quarterback around the league. He will have a prime opportunity to take that next leap this upcoming season helping lead the Rams to build off their success of last year to become a legitimate Super Bowl contender. The front office has put together a roster that looks like it could have plenty of promise on the field.
Goff will certainly play a huge part in pushing the team to the next level with his play under center while further establishing himself as one of the best young quarterbacks in the league.
