Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster may have found a new place to call home, however, the bias he has for his hometown of Los Angeles still shows from time to time.

This was certainly the case in the weeks leading up to Super Bowl LIII. He said during his appearance on “The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz” that he is picking the Los Angeles Rams to beat the New England Patriots.

“You gotta beat their man-to-mean early,” said Smith-Schuster. “You gotta go up top pretty early. You gotta put points on the board pretty early. You have to get the Patriots to play from behind, and yes, I'm going for the Rams.

“I'm taking the Rams, 30-27. I'm going for my home team.”

JuJu Smith-Schuster's pick should come as no surprise. He is a Los Angeles native that went to nearby Long Beach Poly High School before going on to star at USC. It is clear that he would not mind if the Rams brought a Vince Lombardi back to his hometown.

Another reason for Smith-Schuster's pick is the fact that New England is the last team that Pittsburgh wants to see win another championship. There has been some bad blood between these two historic franchises for quite some time now. The Patriots have always been the hump that the Steelers have seldom been able to get over through the years. It is safe to say that Smith-Schuster's pick will make his fan base happy as well.

The Rams would be wise to listen to JuJu Smith-Schuster's advice. He helped the Steelers defeat the Patriots in a tightly-contested game during Week 15 of the regular season.
