The big contracts of 2020 continue to pile on. Next up? Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Robert Woods.

That's according to Rams head coach Sean McVay, who mentioned to reporters that he hopes to get a deal with Woods done soon.

“Great to be able to get Cooper under contract, so happy for him,” McVay said. “And you can expect to see something similar down the line here very shortly, we’re working toward for Robert.”

After getting that deal done with Cooper Kupp, McVay made it a point to reach out to Woods to assure him that he would be next.

“[McVay] just kind of put his arm around me and said he’s happy to have me here, been a true competitor since I stepped on his team,” Woods said. “He kind of just reassured me that this deal would be taken care of this week.”

Woods is in his eighth year in the NFL, with this being his fourth year with the Rams. Prior to joining the Rams he was with the Buffalo Bills.

The Rams have not been shy with giving their skill position players their dollars due. Most notable of those contracts is Jared Goff, whose $110 million guaranteed on his four-year extension last season waas the most money guaranteed in NFL history, since surpassed by Patrick Mahomes. The Rams also signed cornerback Jalen Ramsey to a five-year, $105 million extension this offseason, and it does not look like Los Angeles is done with handing out lucrative contracts yet.
