Sean McVay has been at the center of some not-so-pleasant rumors about his future with the Los Angeles Rams just days before the biggest game of his career. There have been whispers of the 36-year-old head coach parting ways with LA after this season, which apparently, just aren't true.

According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, McVay has himself broken his silence about his future with the Rams:

“I just was texting with Coach Sean McVay asking him if he is going to return next season, and what he texted me back was, ‘I am committed to this team and coaching,” Rapoport said.

Rapoport explains in his report that McVay's quote about not wanting to coach up to 60 may have been taken out of context and maliciously spun into the head coach potentially leaving the Rams after this season. McVay has himself denied these rumors as he stated his commitment to the organization for “next season and beyond.”

It's good to hear that McVay was quick to quell these baseless rumors especially considering how there's a much bigger matter at hand for the Rams. Come Sunday night, they will get the opportunity to bag the Vince Lombardi trophy in front of their home fans in SoFi stadium. Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals will be standing in front of their way, though, as we all look forward to what should be an epic Super Bowl 56 spectacle.
