The Los Angeles Rams fell short of winning their Week 7 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Mike Tomlin outcoached Sean McVay in nearly every facet of the game. The football mastermind from Los Angeles threw everything at their Pittsburgh counterparts but it was to no avail. They just fell short in firepower, especially in the rushing department. Thankfully, Coach McVay gave a crucial update to their injured running back, Kyren Williams.

Sean McVay outlined that the Rams are remaining optimistic in getting Kyren Williams back from the injured reserve. Apparently, he, along with other members of the organization, also made the half-hearted choice of assigning him there in the first place. McVay noted that it might be early but their hopes remain high, per Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic.

Williams suffered an ankle injury against the Arizona Cardinals. The timetable set for his return lasts up to at least four games in the season. This hurts their rushing game given that the Rams had also lost Ronnie Rivers as a backup due to an injury.

The second-year running back notched 456 rushing yards throughout the first six weeks of NFL action. He also grabbed six rushing touchdowns and a receiving touchdown which is a testament to how good he is in the endzone. Despite winning the rushing battle over Mike Tomlin, the Rams could have used his rushing prowess to convert more downs or pass to someone with elite hands for six points. There is still a lot of football to be played after their Steelers loss. But, Los Angeles just needs to brave them before their running back returns.
