The Los Angeles Rams made some noise on Thursday after reaching a deal with star receiver Odell Beckham Jr. It came down to the wire between LA and the Green Bay Packers. However, in the end, the Rams pulled through and got a deal done.

Los Angeles wasn't one of the rumored teams to be interested in Odell Beckham Jr. Yet, they came out of nowhere and signed the star receiver to a short-term deal.

According to Jordan Schultz, it came down between these two franchises. Schultz claims, “Not once did (Odell Beckham Jr.) feel like (Green Bay) was all-in. On the flip side, he spoke with Sean McVay, who was able to creatively detail the multitude of ways he'd maximize (Odell Beckham Jr.'s) talents.”

It seems as though the Rams put together a better sales pitch. The Packers front office is known to be a bit dull, as it's one of the reasons Aaron Rodgers became frustrated with the franchise. Not only did LA sell the franchise better, but the team jumped in and recruited Odell Beckham Jr. as well, per Jordan Schultz.

At the end of the day, Beckham Jr. is looking for a Super Bowl ring and a place that genuinely wants him. It seems he'll be receiving a little of both of that, as the Rams have built a Super Bowl-caliber roster. Additionally, Beckham Jr. is likely to make an immediate impact and become one of Matthew Stafford's favorite targets.

We'll see how it plays out for Los Angeles. There is still plenty of time left in the regular season. This team is bound for a deep playoff run. However, there are plenty of talented teams in the league who will give the Rams a run for their money.
