The Los Angeles Rams have signed cornerback Troy Hill to a contract extension.

According to Pro Football Talk's Charean Williams, Los Angeles signed Hill to a two-year deal on May 30.

Myles Simmons of the team's official website also confirmed Hill's contract extension on Thursday. Re-signing Hill shores up L.A.'s cornerback depth for the next two years. The contracts of two other Rams cornerbacks, Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib, will expire after the 2019 NFL season.

Hill has also contributed to the Rams' special teams play. In fact, he “totaled 28 percent of the unit's snaps last year,” per Simmons. Had Hill not replaced the injured Talib in seven games at cornerback last season, the former would've played more with the special teams unit.

The 27-year-old Hill is entering his fourth season with the Rams and fifth NFL season overall. The Cincinnati Bengals signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2015.

Hill has amassed 98 tackles, two interceptions, and one forced fumble in 43 career games.
