There will not be a World Series title repeat for the Houston Astros. The Texas Rangers are going to the 2023 Fall Classic, and they did it by embarrassing the Astros in enemy territory. So dominant were the Rangers in Monday's American League Championship Series Game 7 at Minute Maid Park that their fans made it look as though the contest was being played in Arlington when it became undeniably clear that Adolis Garcia and company were going to bag the ALCS crown.

The Rangers started Game 7 like a house on fire, as they scored three runs in the first inning. Corey Seager kicked things off for Texas' offense with a monster 440-foot home run to put his team on the board first. The Rangers never looked back since then, with their offense humming the rest of the way. Garcia put up yet another sparkling performance at the plate, as he went 4-for-5 with two home runs and four RBIs. Max Scherzer did not have a great start, as he was pulled from the mound after just 2.2 innings with two earned runs allowed, but the Rangers did a spectacular job at providing their pitchers with more than enough run support.

With the Astros finally out of their way, the Rangers will now have to wait for the result of the 2023 National League Championship Series between the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Philadelphia Phillies, who are about to play a Game 7 Tuesday night in the City of Brotherly Love.
