Toronto Raptors star Kawhi Leonard has been one of the best players during this year’s NBA postseason, but that doesn’t mean that everyone is a fan. While Leonard continues to try and lead the Raptors to their first NBA Finals in franchise history, there will always be those who are looking for faults in his game.

Speaking on today’s episode of Undisputed, Skip Bayless discussed his frustration with the fact that Leonard seems to be getting a ton of attention from the referees. Bayless credits this with many people thinking he’s the new “it” player in the league, and even goes so far to call him the poor man’s LeBron James. Of course, Bayless is known for having some hot takes, so this shouldn’t come as a big surprise.

As Leonard continues to wow crowds with his play in the postseason, he might need to do a bit better if the Raptors hope to get past the Milwaukee Bucks. During last night’s Game 1 loss, Kawhi had 31 points, but it came on 10-26 shooting, and he was just 1-5 from the three-point line, although he did have 10 free throws in the game and performed well on the defensive side.

Speaking to Bayless’ criticisms about Leonard, the superstar in Toronto doesn’t average a ton of free throws, with his 10 yesterday being just the third time in the entire playoffs that he’s had more than double-digit free throw attempts. Still, the referees have shown that they are willing to call fouls if they see them, and with both Leonard and someone like Giannis Antetokounmpo playing, expect more free throws to be attempted as the Eastern Conference Finals continue.
