The Toronto Raptors are still in a precarious spot in the Eastern Conference standings. They will need all hands on deck to win games as the 2023 NBA Playoffs gets closer. However, they could be missing the services of Scottie Barnes for some time after the forward suffered what appears to be an upper-body injury during Sunday night's game against Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks on the road.

Scottie Barnes reportedly sustained a left wrist injury in the first half, forcing him to leave the game. He was initially thought to be questionable to return to the contest but was later ruled out for good, via Marc J. Spears of  ESPN.

“Raptors say Scottie Barnes (left wrist) will not return. X-rays were negative and he will be evaluated further on Monday in Toronto.”

Before he left the game, Scottie Barnes had scored just five points on 2-for-3 shooting with two rebounds, an assist, and a steal in only 13 minutes of action.

Of course, the hope for the Raptors is that Scottie Barnes' injury isn't serious enough to cost him time away from active duty, especially now that the team is winning games again. Toronto entered the showdown against Milwaukee on a three-game win streak.

The Raptors will have two days of rest after this showdown versus the Bucks before resuming work on Wednesday when they face off with the Indiana Pacers at home.

If Barnes misses time, that would mean an increase in the workload of the likes of Pascal Siakam, OG Anunoby, and Fred VanVleet.
