After being swept by the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference semifinals, the Toronto Raptors kept their core together but traded DeMarre Caroll to the Brooklyn Nets. As the Raptors acquired CJ Miles for Cory Joseph, he is expected to be the team's new starting small forward, but Norman Powell should still be a key contributor off the bench.

With training camp underway, Powell wasted no time with another electrifying poster on teammate Jonas Valanciunas according to NBA Reddit:

After appearing in 76 games during the 2016-17 NBA season, Powell started in the team's five out of nine playoff games. In 25.2 minutes, he averaged 11.7 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 1.1 steals.

Heading into the new season, the Raptors are hoping to dethrone the Cavaliers along with the Boston Celtics and Washington Wizards.
