The Baltimore Ravens have added yet another quarterback to the fold. According to an official statement released by the AFC North franchise on Monday, the Ravens have signed former Baylor Bears quarterback Jalan McClendon.

It is also worth noting that the Ravens signed former Texas Longhorns guard Patrick Vahe to free agent contract on Monday as well.

McClendon notably backed up Ryan Finley, who recently became a fourth round pick of the Cincinnati Bengals, at North Carolina State for three seasons before ultimately transferring to Baylor. During his brief stint as a member of the Bears, McClendon appeared played in nine games and made one start.

However, the odds of McClendon sticking around in Baltimore are probably pretty slim. As it stands today, the Ravens have one of the deepest quarterback rooms in the entire league, thanks to the franchise's ability to possess three recognizable names under center. In addition to Ravens starting quarterback Lamar Jackson, Baltimore also has a veteran in Robert Griffin III and a soon-to-be rookie in Trace McSorley in house at the moment.

Although many teams don't often dress three quarterbacks on game day, the Ravens will certainly find themselves in a unique position if all three have an impreissve offseason and preseason. Because Jackson is a versatile rusher and passer, the Ravens will surely have a slew of different packages that include multiple quarterbacks. The team must also be wary of the possibility of injury due to the fact that each of their three signal callers can run the football.
