Earl Thomas isn't present at training camp with the Baltimore Ravens due to an altercation with fellow teammate, Chuck Clark. After causing multiple issues in his short time in Baltimore, Thomas' future with the Ravens is hanging in the balance, per ESPN's Jamison Hensley.

The scuffle between Thomas and Clark took place on Friday when the All-Pro safety committed a busted coverage in practice. That led to Clark becoming frustrated with Thomas, with Thomas posting and then deleting the footage of the play on his Instagram account.

As a result of Thomas' actions, the Ravens sent the animated safety home on Saturday. Seeing that this isn't the first time Thomas has stirred controversy within the locker room, Baltimore could part ways with him after just one season. Following an early-season loss to the Cleveland Browns in 2019, Thomas got into it with Brandon Williams in the locker room.

Last offseason, the Ravens were ecstatic to land Thomas in free agency. The ball-hawking safety would be bringing an edge to the defense and give them another leader in the secondary. However, while he had a formidable season, his leadership has been put into question ever since he landed in Baltimore.

If the Ravens move on from Thomas, they would still face a $15 million cap hit for the 2020 season. Due to his disagreement with Clark, Baltimore could seek to void his guarantees due to conduct detrimental to the team. Still, they would have already committed a total of $22 million to Thomas for just one season of his services.

By releasing Earl Thomas, the Ravens would be creating a hole in one of the league's best secondary units. But at this current moment, Thomas' future with Baltimore is looking cloudy at best.
