It was an interesting game for former Seattle Seahawks safety Earl Thomas in Week 7. He came back to CenturyLink Field as a part of the Baltimore Ravens. If that wasn't bizarre enough for Seahawks fans, he helped the team to a dominant 30-16 display against his former team.

He was immediately asked by the press for his reaction after beating the team that drafted him. Some probably expected him to share his most intimate thoughts that it felt good to beat his former team. He indulged them and gave them an interesting response.

Per ESPN's Jamison Hensley:

“I definitely came in here with a purpose, and we got it done,” Thomas said after Baltimore's 30-16 win.

Thomas, one of the men that made up the Legion of Boom for the Seahawks, finished with five tackles. While he wasn't able to make any interceptions, he was able to put enough pressure to limit his former teammates' effectiveness.

Seahawks QB Russell Wilson has nothing praise to offer for his former teammate.

“I hold Earl in high regard, man,” Wilson said. “I really love him. Just how much he's meant to my family, his family and everything else, and what that means and then also just to the Seahawks organization and what he's meant … he played really good today, he played great, he was battling out there, back-and-forth … Earl's one of the best to ever do it.”

The Ravens are currently seated at the top of the AFC North and are hoping to finish on a high. Wilson will surely be a key component for the team's campaign the same way he was for the Seahawks.
