Over the last three weeks, the Baltimore Ravens have been without the services of quarterback Joe Flacco due to a nagging hip injury.

However, Flacco has made progress over the last couple of weeks as he has been able to return to practice on a limited basis. According to Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic, the expectation is for Jackson to continue to remain the starter this week against the Kansas City Chiefs despite Flacco being back on the practice field.

There doesn't appear to be any rush to get him back on the field as the team has been able to more than manage with him on the mend.

Jackson has provided highly dependable production under center in his absence for the Ravens. He has helped push the team to a three-game winning streak in the process. The 21-year-old is coming off another strong outing in the 26-16 win over the Atlanta Falcons, where he completed 12-of-21 passes for 125 yards with 17 rushes for 75 yards and a touchdown.

Jackson has primarily been a factor with his legs, piling up 265 rushing yards with two touchdowns over the last three games. With each passing game, he has shown more comfort running the offense. The fact that he has been able to play so efficiently in the process has given the Ravens more confidence that he could continue to steer the ship while Flacco heals up completely.

Baltimore is currently sitting in the final Wild Card spot in the AFC playoff picture, a leg up on four teams all standing with 6-6 records heading into Week 14. There should be more clarity on this front over the next couple of days that should determine Flacco's availability for Sunday's contest.
