Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco is likely to be active Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs and will likely back up rookie Lamar Jackson, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Flacco has missed the last three games due to a hip injury. He finally got a full practice under his belt on Friday, though head coach John Harbaugh did not specify whether Flacco would indeed be active. But it appears as if Flacco will indeed be suiting up to back Jackson up.

Jackson has started the last three games for the Ravens, all of which they won to revitalize their playoff hopes. While Jackson has struggled in terms of passing the football, he has more than compensated with his legs. He’s rushed 54 times for 265 yards with two touchdowns in his three starts.

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid said this week that he expects the Ravens to use both Flacco and Jackson at different times this week. The Ravens used Jackson in certain plays while Flacco was the starter, so that could very much be a possibility.

The Chiefs secondary has continued to struggle. After giving up 54 points to the Rams, they surrendered 33 points to the Oakland Raiders last week as Derek Carr had 285 yards and three touchdowns. The Raiders also gashed the Chiefs for 171 yards on the ground. The combination of Flacco’s arm and Jackson’s legs could cause the Chiefs D some more problems if they’re not careful.
