Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh itched a few nerves with his recent action of pulling down his face mask during a contest against the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday night. Harbaugh then proceeded to confront an official with his mask down, a direct violation of COVID-19 protocols.

Since then, the referees union apparently wants action taken against the head coach:

The NFL front office will want to possibly keep this under wraps until they decide the proper way to deal with Harbaugh's unprofessional deed. The likely outcome will result in a fine, or perhaps a stern warning. Either way, the league must stand firm on their repercussions against coaches who don't keep their mask on. This isn't the first time a coach has come under fire for not following protocols with face masks this season, with four coaches already receiving fines for not wearing masks on the sidelines. The NFL recently issues a stern warning on the matter.

For Harbaugh, the most he can do at the moment is prepare for a Week 4 matchup against the Washington Football Team. The Ravens lost their previous outing to the Chiefs in which Harbaugh committed the act of lowering his mask.

Ravens quarterback and reigning MVP Lamar Jackson couldn't rise to the occasion in his Week 3 performance against the Chiefs. In a showdown against 2018 MVP Patrick Mahomes, Jackson fell well short of Mahomes' masterful performance. Jackson is focused on trying to bounce back this weekend, no matter what happens to Harbaugh.
