Justin Tucker booted a game-winning 49-yard field goal in the rain and the wind in the Baltimore Ravens' 20-17 win over the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, but he wasn't entirely satisfied.

Why? Because the kick was just shy of 50 yards.

“I try to be chill,” Tucker told Peter King of NBC Sports. “I focus on the action of the kick, not consequences. Honestly, as the clock ran down, I‘m just hoping the ball’s the spotted at the 32. … Fifty’s a nice round number. And there’s slightly more glory making a 50-yarder than 49.”

I guess it wasn't enough for Tucker to ensure the Ravens nabbed the best record in the NFL and defeated what has been a dominant 49ers club in a potential Super Bowl preview.

Not to mention the fact that the conditions were horrendous.

“The rain was coming down all day,” he said. “Actually, I changed my shirt at halftime, I was so cold and wet. So the spot we picked out where my plant foot was going to land was rather soft and very wet. Knowing what to do and how to adjust before the kick is one of the important steps before the kick. Gotta make sure I stay up, and I get my studs out of the ground lightly so I don’t slip.”

Of course, this is nothing new for Tucker, who has made 22 of his 23 field-goal attempts this season and is one year removed from a 2018 campaign in which he went 35-for-39, en route to a First-Team All-Pro selection.

Over the course of his eight-year NFL career, Tucker has made an incredible 90.6 percent of his field-goal attempts.
