Some weird things have taken place while everyone is quarantined and none of them might be as weird as the occurrence that unfolded on Saturday. Lamar Jackson, the quarterback of the Baltimore Ravens, exchanged pleasantries with Donald Trump on Twitter.

The back-and-forth exchange between Jackson and Trump began when the quarterback posted a video, flashing back to the 2018 NFL Draft. The video was of Jaire Alexander, Jackson's teammate at Louisville, getting excited in the green room at the draft when Jackson was selected by the Baltimore Ravens.

Shortly after, Trump responded to the video by exclaiming, “Really nice to see this and, what a great pick!“. Then, the Ravens quarterback quoted the tweet and responded with, “Truzz Trump“. Of course, this led to fans and other players to question why Jackson would respond to Trump.

Before Jackson, he should've known that any sort of response to Trump would show that he supports him (whether he does or not). In a world where fans aren't interested in hearing about politics in sports, it didn't take long for the young QB to upset them.

Jackson is beloved in Baltimore, winning the NFL's MVP Award in just his second season in the NFL in 2019. However, he should've just avoided the interaction altogether to avoid any backlash. Especially when Trump trashed the same city that he plays in for eight Sundays of the season.

Whether Jackson legitimately supports Trump remains to be seen. Until the 23-year-old QB clears the air on what his intentions were, there are inevitably going to be fans questioning his decision making.
