The Baltimore Ravens had every chance to start their season 1-0 against the Las Vegas Raiders, but Lamar Jackson and his men couldn't capitalize.

The Ravens were up 14-0 early in the second quarter, and stayed a touchdown ahead throughout the second half. But the Raiders stayed in it, thanks in large part to Lamar Jackson and Co. failing to capitalize on various opportunities to put them away.

The death blow was Lamar Jackson's fumble in overtime. The drive that initially seemed destined to end in heartbreak for the Raiders became the the bookend for one of the most stunning contests in recent memory.

The Ravens QB took to Twitter to express his disappointment in letting their win, and the football, slip away.

Jackson also spoke out to reporters on the loss, imploring his team, and himself, to keep a short memory as they try to bounce back from the dispiriting defeat.

Via Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic:

“We got to move on quick,” Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson said. “If you’re a quarterback, you’re trying to go through your progressions, and guys are in your face,” Jackson said. “Sometimes, you can’t go through your reads. You’ve got to make something happen.”

The Ravens have a tall task ahead of them in Week 2 as they take on Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
