The Baltimore Ravens are preparing to take on the Los Angeles Rams in Week 17. Coming off of four straight losses, the Ravens could use some good news ahead of the tough matchup with Los Angeles. Quarterback Lamar Jackson, who has missed each of the last two games with an ankle injury, took a big step towards making a return to the field in Week 17 against the Rams.

This is a big update for the Ravens on the status of Lamar Jackson, who has been unable to practice since he suffered the ankle injury against the Browns.

It doesn't mean that Jackson, who is expected to be a limited participant at practice according to Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh, will definitely suit up in Week 17 for the Ravens against the Rams. However, it is a big step in the right direction.

The Ravens have actually gotten decent quarterback play without Jackson, as the likes of Tyler Huntley and Josh Johnson have each done enough to keep Baltimore in the game.

However, the Ravens, who are clinging to playoff hopes as the current eighth seed in the AFC, know that they'll need the former MVP in Jackson under center for a chance to win a pivotal Week 17 game against the Rams.

Judging by head coach John Harbaugh's comments and the initial feeling around the start of the practice week, it sounds like the Ravens could have Lamar Jackson on the field in week 17 against the Rams.
