Should the Baltimore Ravens break the bank to keep Ronnie Stanley? According to Lamar Jackson and Willie Snead, the answer is a resounding yes.

Responding to a Pro Football Focus Ravens tweet highlighting some of Stanley's stats from last season — including the fact that he did not allow a single sack the whole season and had the highest pass-blocking grade in the league — Snead had a simple response to the highlight.

Meanwhile, quarterback Lamer Jackson, who has Stanley protecting his blind side, agreed with Snead's thoughts and made his request more of a plea.

Lamar Jackson and Willie Snead's request for the Ravens to pay Ronnie Stanley is understandable. Like the tweet by PFF mentioned, Stanley was one of the best left tackles in the NFL in 2019. The left tackle is the most important lineman on the field for most offenses, as he protects the blind side of right-handed throwing quarterbacks.

Stanley is heading into his fifth season in the NFL. The Ravens exercised their option on Stanley for the 2020 season in March, so he will make $12,866,000 this upcoming season. Speaking with ESPN in June, Stanley mentioned that he wants to get paid his value, but he is comfortable with his status right now — mentioning that “when the time comes, it'll come.”

“I definitely want to get paid my value and what I feel I'm worth,” Stanley said. “That part of it is important. But, at the end of the day, I don't think money is the most important thing to me.”

We'll see if the endorsements by his teammates, especially his quarterback, will accelerate the process of Stanley getting a long-term deal with the Ravens.
