Mark Ingram wants ‘Big Truss' to trust him. The Baltimore Ravens running back has the utmost faith in the soon-to-be 23-year-old MVP, Lamar Jackson. So much so that he doesn't want to let him down, no matter what.

Jackson — the epitome of a dual-threat quarterback — got the Ravens to 14-2 in 2019. Though they aren't in the Super Bowl, after losing in the divisional round, the season was a success. Ingram says it's because of Jackson, who he won't let down.

Man, he’s just a special guy,” Ingram said, via Pro Football Talk. “Obviously the athletic ability, able to throw the ball, able to run the ball, the leadership — I think just the person he is, it makes people gravitate towards him. He is the type of person that makes you want to be at your best because you don’t want to let him down. You want to be at your best, so that you can make his job as easy as possible. I think everybody in our whole organization rallied around him, supports him, we want to be the best we can so we can help him be successful and ultimately win a championship.”

The Ravens' season didn't end how they wanted it to. Ingram said it will “sting” to see another team win the Super Bowl after Baltimore entered the postseason as favorites to win it all. However, there is hope for the future.

That hope is Lamar Jackson. If the Ravens can continue building around him, Baltimore will be represented in the playoffs for a long time.
