Marquise Brown is expected to take a massive leap in his second season with the Baltimore Ravens and the same can be said for Miles Boykin. While being asked who he believes can emerge under the radar, Greg Roman told Ryan Mink of the team's official website that Boykin is poised for an expanded role in 2020.

“Miles Boykin, [we're] really going to load his plate a lot more this year and really ask a lot of him this year,” Offensive Coordinator Greg Roman said. “We really feel like he's going to take a giant step.”

After taking Brown with the No. 25 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the Ravens proceeded to take Boykin in the third round. While Brown served as the team's No. 1 wideout, Boykin was used sparingly in his rookie season.

The Notre Dame product would conclude his rookie campaign with 13 receptions for 198 yards and three touchdowns. Despite his lack of usage a season ago, Boykin is confident in the improvements he's made thus far.

“I just feel like I've been getting better as an all-around player,” Boykin said. “I was a rookie, and obviously, I went out there and did what I could. I'm capable of a lot more, and I'll be able to play faster this year, have more chemistry with Lamar and just be able to go out there and just play the game the way I know how to play.”

However, in the 2020 NFL Draft, Baltimore added Devin Duvernay and James Proche at wide receiver. With that in mind, Roman exclaimed that the Ravens could use more wide-receiver-heavy sets on offense in 2020.

“We are going to be a very multiple offense. You might see three, four tight ends on the field. You might see five [wideouts] on the field. On the next play, you might see something completely different,” Roman said.

Even though Baltimore is known for their run-oriented offense, expect to see more of Boykin in 2020.
