A little over two weeks into the NFL free agency period, the market for the top available talent has dwindled down significantly. However, there remain a few intriguing players left that could step into high impact roles with an NFL team.

With that in mind, the Ravens have made a few moves already to address their need to improve their roster at the wide receiver position. According to Field Yates of ESPN, the team has brought in restricted free agent wideout Willie Snead for a tryout on Friday.

Snead had previously worked out for the Saints last week, but nothing had come about from that. The market has been quite thin for the 25-year-old that could likely be due to the fact that he is a restricted free agent that gives the Saints the ability to match any offer that he agrees to from another team.

He is also coming off a season where he had a significant drop off in production in the 2017 NFL season recording just eight catches for 92 receiving yards in 11 games played. Prior to that, he had hauled in at least 69 catches and 890 receiving yards in each of his first two campaigns behind his big-play ability stretching the field.

What should be taken into consideration for his decline last season was the emergence of reigning NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year running back Alvin Kamara picking up a major role in the passing game.

Meanwhile, fellow Pro Bowl running back Mark Ingram was also featured heavily in the passing game out of the backfield. It isn't a strike against Snead's ability on the field by any means, but rather the Saints shifted their game plan a bit that didn't present him with a tremendous opportunity to contribute.

That said, the Ravens still hold a pressing need to add more wide receiver depth even with the addition of former Oakland Raiders wideout Michael Crabtree on a three-year, $21 million deal. What this could signal is that a potential offer for Snead could be in the works in the near future.
