One of the biggest storylines stemming from last season is the play under center from Lamar Jackson. The Baltimore Ravens began their mandatory minicamp on Tuesday and the quarterback looked improved.

Jamison Hensley, a reporter for the Ravens for ESPN, posted a video of the Ravens quarterback throwing passes.

In the video, it looks like Jackson has cleaned up his footwork a bit this offseason. Last year, Jackson had troubles with his footwork and stepping into his throws. This led to underthrown passes and some turnovers.

Also, his accuracy seems a tad better—even though the spirals weren't the prettiest. At the least, he was hitting his receivers in stride on intermediate routes. It's tough to take much from throws in minicamp but this could be the beginning of a new version of Jackson.

In 2018, Jackson lit it up in his rookie season on the ground. Therefore, Baltimore turned towards being a run-oriented offense with Jackson and Gus Edwards leading the pack. This game plan helped the Ravens reach the playoffs.

In the playoffs though, they fell short to the Los Angeles Chargers in the Wild Card round. Their offense became too predictable with Jackson relying on his legs a lot. With that in mind, in 2019, the Ravens want to see more from Jackson's arm than his legs.

We all know Jackson can be a dangerous threat on the ground but his one knock on him is his ability to consistently throw the ball downfield. His accuracy and mechanics have also shown signs of needing improvement.

Nonetheless, Ravens fans should be jovial to see their young quarterback working on his game for the upcoming season.
