Real Madrid‘s dynamic midfielder, Jude Bellingham, faces an uncertain status for England's upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers against Malta and North Macedonia, reported by GOAL. The 20-year-old has been sidelined for Real Madrid's last two fixtures due to a shoulder injury sustained during La Liga action against Rayo Vallecano on November 5.

Although Bellingham has been named in Gareth Southgate's squad, Real Madrid's manager, Carlo Ancelotti, expressed caution regarding the midfielder's involvement with the national team. Ancelotti emphasized the need for Bellingham to undergo specific shoulder-strengthening exercises, and he anticipates the young talent returning to action after the international break.

Ancelotti stated, “He will go to be evaluated, but I expect him back [in Spain] again quickly. If he didn’t play today, he can’t play with England. He has to do specific work to strengthen his shoulder, and he will do that in the coming weeks. After the international break, I think he will be able to play again.”

This injury setback compounds England's midfield concerns, with Tottenham's James Maddison already withdrawn from the squad due to an ankle injury. Additionally, Newcastle's Callum Wilson and Brighton's Lewis Dunk have pulled out with hamstring and groin issues, respectively. Despite these setbacks, Chelsea's Levi Colwill is likely to be fit for duty.

England's medical team will conduct further assessments upon the squad's arrival at St. George’s Park, ensuring a comprehensive evaluation of the players' fitness before the crucial Euro 2024 qualifiers. The Three Lions, having already secured their place in the tournament, can afford to be cautious with the fitness of key players as they look ahead to the challenges in Germany next summer.
