Ever since Real Madrid beat PSG in the Champions League Round of 16, the rumors have been flying about Kylian Mbappe ultimately leaving the French capital and joining Los Blancos this summer on a free transfer. While the player himself said recently he's yet to decide on his future, Karim Benzema believes the addition of French National Team teammate would make Madrid an absolute force to be reckoned with.

Speaking to L'Equipe on Tuesday in an exclusive interview, Benzema is clearly excited about the prospect of Mbappe potentially becoming a Real Madrid player in the coming months:

“I like playing with him for the national team and I'd like to play with him for my club,” Benzema said. “I think we'd score twice as many goals, many even three times as many!

“We have a great connection in the national team because we each know what the other one will do.

“For example, we both like going to the left but we will never both be there at the same time.”

Real Madrid already has a potent attack, with Benzema and Vinicius Junior flying high this term for the Spanish giants, who are preparing for a UCL quarterfinals clash with Chelsea on Wednesday. They are also at the top of La Liga. There is no question Los Blancos would possess one of the most lethal frontlines in Europe if Mbappe signed this summer. He's got nothing left to prove in France, already scoring 23 times and tallying 17 assists across all competition this season. Talk about versatility.

Plus, Kylian Mbappe wants to win hardware. That becomes an instant reality at Real Madrid. It will be very interesting to see if he makes the move, with Karim Benzema clearly welcoming him with open arms.
