With free agency underway, the market is beginning to take shape with several of the top names exploring the market.

One of the more intriguing players available is veteran forward Rudy Gay, who is reportedly set to meet with a few teams on the 4th of July next week, according to Marc J. Spears of the Undefeated.

Both the San Antonio Spurs and Golden State Warriors have been identified as possible destinations for Gay and they could very well be two of the teams who have set up meetings with him next week.

The interest level from the Warriors appears to likely stem on how things will pan out with former NBA Finals MVP Andre Iguodala. Meanwhile, the Spurs provide the Gay an opportunity to play for a title contender.

The contract discussions for Gay could become quite interesting given that he's coming off a torn Achilles injury last season. He may be just 30 years old, but it is a major injury that can have a huge impact on the type of player he is moving forward.

That said, Gay is expected to ready by training camp in September for any prospective team. If he is able to work past this injury, he could be a valuable asset wherever he lands as he's proven to be a reliable scoring option. In his first 11 years of his career, Gay is averaging 18.4 points per game.
