It looks like free-agent safety Eric Weddle has made his decision, as ESPN's Adam Schefter is reporting that Weddle plans to sign with the Los Angeles Rams.

Ian Rapoport tweeted out the terms of the deal:

Weddle was released by the Baltimore Ravens earlier this week and is coming off of a season in which he played in all 16 games, registering 68 tackles and a sack en route to a Pro Bowl appearance.

The 34-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Utah, was originally selected by the San Diego Chargers in the second round (37th pick overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft.

He played in 15 games during his rookie campaign, logging 53 tackles, a sack and six passes defended.

Weddle spent the first nine seasons of his NFL career with the then San Diego Chargers, making three Pro Bowl appearances and earning a couple of First-Team All-Pro selections. His best year came in 2011, when he racked up 88 tackles, a league-leading seven interceptions and 11 passes defended.

The Fontana, Ca. native then went on to sign with the Ravens in March 2016, and in his first season with Baltimore, Weddle made a trip to the Pro Bowl after posting 89 tackles, a sack, four picks, a forced fumble and 13 passes defended.

Weddle then made yet another Pro Bowl in 2017 after totaling 63 stops, a sack, six interceptions, eight passes defended, and a defensive touchdown.

The Rams won 12 games this past season, capturing the NFC West division title and making it all the way to the Super Bowl before falling to the New England Patriots by a score of 13-3. Weddle will likely replace Lamarcus Joyner, who is hitting the free agent market next week.
