The Adrian Peterson experiment with the New Orleans Saints is getting some mixed reviews. The veteran running back hasn't made much of an impact in New Orleans and now things may have gotten worse with an injury suffered in practice.

According to NFL.com, Peterson went down with a knee injury in practice ahead of Week 4's matchup with the Miami Dolphins in London, England.

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported that Peterson “tweaked his knee a little in practice” on Wednesday, per a source informed of the situation, noting that the runner's absence was a “mix” of that setback along with taking a “veteran” break. The Saints officially classified Peterson's absence as a rest day.

With the team not ruling out Peterson or making his status questionable for the game against the Dolphins, it remains to be seen whether he'll play or not with the team on the road across the pond.

The Saints are currently coming off their first win of the season with an impressive victory over the division rival Carolina Panthers. New Orleans crushed Cam Newton and company, 34-13, and will hope to keep it going with or without Peterson against the Dolphins.

Miami, however, is looking to get back on track after a surprising loss to the New York Jets in Week 3. Jay Cutler's squad couldn't get anything going against the Jets which is a cause for concern for a team many expect to contend for a playoff spot in the AFC.
