The NFL's most dangerous two-headed running attack is no more. Alvin Kamara, while no doubt disappointed to see his former New Orleans Saints teammate play elsewhere going forward, certainly seems excited for Mark Ingram.

In response to Ingram agreeing to a three-year, $15 million deal with the Baltimore Ravens, Kamara appealed to his former running mate on social for a portion of his payday.

Kamara, of course, is only a couple years out from being rightfully compensated as perhaps the NFL's most dangerous all-around playmaker. The 2017 second-round pick signed a four-year, $3.9 million deal with the Saints upon his drafting that expires in 2020.

In February, Kamara took to social media with a different goal in mind: ensuring New Orleans would do all it in free agency to retain Ingram.

Instead, Ingram's tenure with the team was over almost before the legal tampering period began on Monday. Negotiations between player and team reportedly broke down over the weekend, leading the Saints to agree to a four-year contract with free agent runner Latavius Murray on Tuesday. Subsequent reporting indicated Ingram was most likely bound for the Ravens, with whom he reached a deal on Wednesday.

According to ESPN's Diana Russini, New Orleans offered the 29-year-old a contract with an average salary of $4.5 million – just half a million dollars fewer than the one Ingram ended up getting from Baltimore.

Ingram had 138 carries for 645 yards and six touchdowns in 12 games last season, averaging 4.7 yards per carry, numbers down from his Pro Bowl campaign a year earlier due to the Saints affording Kamara a bigger share of the backfield load.
