Ndamukong Suh is currently a free agent after getting released by the Miami Dolphins, but it should not be long before he finds himself a new team. Among the teams that he has garnered interest from is the New Orleans Saints. According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Suh is scheduled to visit the Saints this Friday in what could be a precursor to a potential partnership.

The #Saints may not be done in free agency. They have interest in former #Dolphins DT Ndamukong Suh and are working on bringing him in to visit, I’m told. Assuming that’s the first visit, it’s a good sign for their chances to add top-shelf front 7 help.

In a follow-up tweet, Rapoport also noted that Suh is also going to visit the Tennessee Titans. He is clearly attracting plenty of attention, and is taking his time weighing factors before making a decision.

Former #Dolphins DT Ndamukong Suh may take his time now that he’s a free agent again. Along with his #Saints visit, source said he’s set to visit the #Titans. He will likely take more after that.

Suh previously signed a six-year deal worth $114 million with the Dolphins in 2015, but Miami seemed to be intent on clearing some cap space, which they have accomplished by shedding the All-Pro defensive tackle’s remaining salary off their books. Ndamukong Suh had a cap hit worth $26 million dollars this 2018 and leaves the Dolphins with a dead cap hit of $22 million,

As mentioned by Rapoport, Suh visiting New Orleans is a good sign for the Saints’ defense that significantly improved in 2017. After being one of the worst defensively in 2016, the Saints managed to ranked 10th in scoring defense last season. Adding Suh to their stop unit would be a big boost to the Saints’ run defense that still needs some retooling following a campaign in which New Orleans allowed 111.7 rushing yards per game.

The Titans, on the other hand, performed better against the run last season than the Saints with only 88.8 rushing yards allowed per contest, but could use an experienced vet to help in generating pressure along the defensive line.

Suh is coming off a down year, recording just 29 tackles in 16 games.
