The Super Bowl is a week from Sunday and the San Francisco 49ers will look to secure their first Super Bowl victory since 1994 behind their stout defense. Along with their formidable defense, the 49ers are going to need their offense to keep up with the high-flying offense of the Kansas City Chiefs.

During the regular season, San Francisco boasted the fourth-ranked offense in the NFL. The 49ers owned the 13th ranked passing offense and the second-best rushing offense respectively.

Without a doubt, Kyle Shanahan loves to center his offense around running the ball effectively. That trend continued for San Francisco in their two postseason contests.

As a result, Jimmy Garoppolo wasn't asked to tire out his arm as he attempted only 27 passes in the two playoff games. While he wasn't required to throw much, Tevin Coleman and Raheem Mostert were the engines that kept the offense going.

In San Francisco's first two playoff bouts, they combined for 471 rushing yards. But with the 49ers preparing for the Chiefs, it's safe to say they'll need to put the ball in the air more. Considering that, here are three bold predictions for the 49ers offense in Super Bowl 54.

3. Garoppolo will throw for 250 yards

As mentioned above, the 49ers haven't needed Garoppolo to carry them offensively. The sixth-year quarterback has combined for only 208 passing yards, one touchdown, and one interception thus far in the postseason.

But with Patrick Mahomes on the other side of the field, Garoppolo will likely need to perform well in the Super Bowl. Over the course of the regular season, the 49ers signal-caller totaled 3,978 yards, 27 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions.

On top of that, Garoppolo recorded seven games where he threw for more than 250 yards. With him being asked to provide more through the air, Garoppolo will throw for 250 yards in the playoffs for the first time in his career.

2. San Francisco will rush for 200 yards

When the 49ers signed Coleman last offseason, it was evident that Shanahan wanted the offense to go through their rushing attack. So far in the playoffs, the running game has essentially been the reason why San Francisco is representing the NFC in the Super Bowl.

The duo of Coleman and Mostert have been nearly unstoppable for opposing defenses. Despite Kansas City's defense playing better in recent weeks, they won't be able to slow down San Francisco's backfield.

The Chiefs have held opponents to under 100 yards rushing in four out of their past six games. With that being said, the 49ers will have no regard for their recent success and will gash Kansas City's defense for 200 rushing yards.

1. A wide receiver will throw a touchdown

It seems that every year in the Super Bowl we get a team that unveils a trick play that works to perfection. After all, it is the final game of the season and it's for all of the marbles.

Given that Shanahan and Andy Reid are calling plays in this game, one of them is going to run something unique. Throughout the regular season, the 49ers ran two plays that involved a wide receiver throwing a pass.

Both Dante Pettis and Emmanuel Sanders attempted a pass and both completed it for a combined 51 yards. Among the two passes, Sanders' throw actually resulted in a touchdown. For the second time this season, a wide receiver for the 49ers will complete a touchdown.
