The Seattle Seahawks have officially entered a rebuild. It's never an ideal situation, as it can take time for a franchise to get back to a competitive level. They've set themselves up nicely after trading Russell Wilson away, but unfortunately, it led to Bobby Wagner being released from the roster. The superstar linebacker hits free agency and will be a highly sought-after free agent.

Regardless, the long-time Seahawks linebacker sent a goodbye tweet to fans. The 10-year veteran has spent his entire career in Seattle and will be playing for a new team for the first time in his career. It's a bitter-sweet moment for the fan base as they say, goodbye to Bobby Wagner while hopefully ushering in young and exciting talent.

Bobby Wagner's final season with the Seahawks was arguably the best of his career. He ended up with a career-high 170 total tackles, a forced fumble, and an interception. Wagner has been a tackle-machine throughout his career and will bring that to any franchise that signs him in free agency.

For the Seahawks, this move frees up $16.6 million in cap space, per Spotrac. The front office has plenty of money to work with to sign whoever they need to this offseason. We'll see how it plays out, but we should see Seattle be active in free agency. However, all eyes will be on what they do in the NFL Draft, as they have a plethora of picks at their disposal now.

It's unclear what Bobby Wagner's market will be, but he is easily one of the best overall players available in free agency. Plenty of teams could use his talents and we should see Wagner sign a deal with a franchise ready to make a Super Bowl run. As for the Seahawks, the grueling rebuild begins as Seattle hopes to acquire as many young players as possible.
