On Sunday, the Seattle Seahawks — despite numerous key injuries — dropped a game they shouldn't have. They lost 27-13 to the Arizona Cardinals.

Despite a disastrous showing, Seahawks inside linebacker Bobby Wagner is thinking positively, connecting the dots between 2013 and 2019.

“In 2013, we lose in a similar situation, it turned out really well for us,” Wagner said postgame, via Gregg Bell of The Tacoma News Tribune“So, at the end of the day it's your mindset. You take in this loss. Let it feel the way you want to feel towards it. But, after that, move forward because that team coming in next week don't care what happened today. They just want to win.”

In 2013, the Seahawks lost to the Cardinals in Week 16 of the regular season. They would go on to win every game, including a dominant win over the Denver Broncos in the Super Bowl.

For Wagner, the disappointing loss to the Cardinals was another chapter of the story. The Seahawks cannot dwell on it. Next week, they have the opportunity to beat the San Francisco 49ers to win the crown of the NFC West, which could give them a first-round bye in the playoffs.

The Seahawks must bounce back. They will have to do so without many of their starters, including left tackle Duane Brown and running back Chris Carson, who was ruled out for the rest of the regular season on Sunday with injuries.

The response to the lost will define the season for the Seahawks. They were able to bounce back well in the past. Will they again?
