Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III was limited for Thursday's practice with a groin injury but has shaken off the ailment and will play in Week 1, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. 

Kenneth Walker, a former second-round selection in the 2022 NFL Draft, played in 15 games and started in 11 for Seattle in 2022. He broke the 1,000-rushing-yard mark during his first season with the Seahawks, adding nine rushing touchdowns on 228 rushing attempts. The former Wake Forest and Michigan State running back earned 100 rushing yards or more in five games in 2022.

Linebacker Derick Hall, defensive end Mike Morris, linebacker Darrell Taylor and wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba are all good to go for Week 1. Rookie corner Devon Witherspoon was listed as questionable, while talented safety Jamal Adams won't play, as he is still recovering from a knee injury. 

Four running backs, including Zach Charbonnet and DeeJay Dallas, were listed on Seattle's initial 53-man rosterCharbonnet was drafted in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft after he recorded two 1,000-yard seasons with the UCLA Bruins. The former Michigan Wolverine rushed for 31 yards during a preseason victory over the Dallas Cowboys in August. Dallas will return for his fourth year with the Seahawks after he played in 15 games for Seattle in 2022.

The Seahawks took 18th place in the NFL with just over 2,000 rushing yards last season. They were ahead of the New Orleans Saints, Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos. Kenneth Walker led Seattle in rushing yards and touchdowns in 2022. He added over 160 receiving yards and 27 receptions.

The Seahawks will kick off their campaign against the Los Angeles Rams at 1:25 p.m. PT on Sunday at Lumen Field.
