We've seen the last of Seattle Seahawks safety Earl Thomas this season.

The six-time Pro Bowler, who is currently injured. won't see the field again this season if you ask Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll, as per Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times.

It is safe to say that the Legion of Boom is a thing of the past in Seattle.

Thomas got hurt and was carted off the field against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 3.  The following day it was revealed that he had broken a bone in his left leg and was placed on injured reserve on October 2.

Thomas, along with Richard Sherman and Kam Chancellor, were the pivotal members of the Legion of Boom group that terrorized passing attacks from 2011-2017.

Above all, they are a group known to limit opponents passing yards. The Seahawks ranked first in yards allowed through the air both in 2013 and 2014. That feat can be attributed to Thomas and company who are always ready to cover when they were on the field.

Sherman left for the San Francisco 49ers this offseason. That left Thomas to take charge, but he wasn't able to as a result of this setback.

In three games played, Thomas was on pace to have another good year. He recorded 18 tackles, three interceptions for 25 yards, and four pass deflections.

Thomas is an upcoming free agent this offseason. The result of this injury may have an effect when he starts receiving bids from possible suitors this in free agency.

It is also the second time he's had such an injury.
