The Seattle Seahawks have made some drastic changes during this NFL offseason. The team seems to be at the beginning of what could be an extensive rebuilding process. Although it appears the team is intent on building around star quarterback Russell Wilson, something the team did recently has the quarterback's camp second-guessing the Seahawks' intentions.

Apparently, the Seahawks brass recently attended Josh Allen's pro day leading to speculation they may be gearing up for a move to make their way up the upcoming 2018 NFL Draft to select the Wyoming product. It comes as no surprise that Wilson's people were alarmed by the team's interest in Allen prompting questions as to why they'd be evaluating a potential franchise quarterback, via Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times.

The NFL Network’s Jim Trotter said in a segment aired Wednesday that Russell Wilson’s “camp’’ — presumably a reference to agent Mark Rodgers or someone else within the agency — called the Seahawks and asked what it meant for Wilson that the team was scouting a quarterback expected to be among the top players taken in the 2018 NFL Draft, and asked “if there is anything we need to know.’’

Allen is expected to be one of the first quarterbacks off the board in the first round of the draft on April 27. He may very well be one of the first three picks come draft day with the Cleveland Browns, New York Giants, or New York Jets deciding to take him.

With that being said, the Seahawks would have to make a major move to land Allen. Seattle currently has the 17th overall pick in the draft and would almost certainly have to trade up. However, there's a chance Louisville's Lamar Jackson could be available if the team is looking to take a quarterback.
