The Seattle Seahawks have had a wild offseason, as longtime quarterback Russell Wilson was dealt to the Denver Broncos, then All-Pro linebacker Bobby Wagner was released by the team. This time, Seattle held onto one of their own. The Seahawks are bringing back two-time Pro Bowl safety Quandre Diggs, as reported by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Quandre Diggs will be back with the Seahawks. Diggs, 28, will receive a three-year contract worth $40 million. Diggs graded out as one of the better safeties in the league, as he earned a solid 71.2 overall grade from Pro Football Focus.

A converted safety, Diggs appeared in all 17 games for the Seahawks this past season, intercepting five passes while totaling a career-high 94 combined tackles. Not only are the Seahawks returning a key playmaker, but one of their most important leaders as well.

Diggs fractured his fibula and suffered a dislocated ankle in the fourth quarter of the Seahawks' season finale against the Arizona Cardinals, putting his future with the team in serious doubt. However, Seattle got to see firsthand just how important Diggs is to his Seattle teammates, as they reportedly requested to be with him in the hospital at the time of his injury.

While the Seahawks lost a key leader in Bobby Wagner, they retained another in Quandre Diggs.
