Los Angeles Rams fans know that Russell Wilson is dangerous. The Rams lead early in the third quarter against the Seattle Seahawks, but they have seen Russ carve up the L.A. defense on a few occasions.
This time, it's a classic Wilson play. After rolling around outside the pocket and making defenders look silly, he launches a perfect ball downfield. Early in this Rams matchup, the former Wisconsin Badger has looked untouchable. He's already thrown two touchdowns, one of which was a ridiculous sideline dime, again out of the pocket.
All the credit doesn't go to Wilson. His protection has been surprisingly decent, and he's been afforded time in the pocket often. It doesn't hurt that Rams edge rusher Dante Fowler is questionable to return with a hamstring injury.
The Seattle ground game has been mostly bottled up to this point, but Russell Wilson hasn't been contained. With six minutes left in the second quarter, he already has 165 yards passing and two scores. Even better, he's only thrown three incomplete passes to this point. If Wilson continues this level of dominance, the Seahawks will take the NFC West easily.
Another strong point for Seattle's playoff case is the defense. The pass rush has looked fierce, but with lots of room to improve. Linebacker Bobby Wagner has been his usual elite self. The Seahawks are again a team that no one wants to face.
