Sean O'Malley and Adrian Yanez appear to be circling each other in the UFC bantamweight division. Both men have been talking about each other for a while now.

Sean O'Malley expressed interest in Adrian Yanez after the latter's fight against Davey Grant last weekend. ‘Suga' does have a fight at UFC 269 though and it's not exactly an easy one.

Sean O'Malley recently went on his podcast, “The Timbo Sugar Show” podcast, and talked about Adrian Yanez. The fight could certainly happen after UFC 269.

“Adrian Yanez won, I called him out, he talked shit,” UFC bantamweight O’Malley said. “We’ll probably fight in March…he sounded stupid. I was like, ‘Damn, that’s a sick fight. That’d be a sweet next matchup’ because every time he’s fought, I’m like, ‘Damn.’ He always puts on a performance. It’s always a fun fight to watch and Din Thomas says he looks like a young Jorge Masvidal. Like, damn, that’s sick. He does.

“I said it would be fun to fight him in March, and I mean – you get called out, you take it as disrespect in a way,” the UFC fighter continued. “He did that. Automatically, he was like, ‘Well, he knocked out Eddie Wineland, then he knocked out Thomas Almeida’ and he’s just trying to find things to talk shit about, which I didn’t – I wanna fight because I think it’d be a sweet fight. March, and I’m not taking Paiva light either. I’ve got to get through Paiva first, but I think that would be a next sweet fight. March.”

There is a little bit of trash talk between the two and it appears both men want the fight. March could certainly be realistic as it gives them over three months to prepare after their last UFC bouts.

Adrian Yanez is not currently ranked but he is on an excellent run since entering the UFC. Sean O'Malley is currently on a slow climb up the division and is a very exciting contender at bantamweight.
